a talk on 21st May 2013 with Matt Allard of the GB3BS Repeater Group

GB3BS is located at the Avon Fire & Rescue centre at Lansdown 13km East of the City of Bristol.

NGR: ST 716 702 (IO81TK)
51.43054 N. -2.40905 W
Site Elevation: 764ft/233m (ASL). Antenna Height: 100ft/30m (AGL).

OUTPUT: 430.850 MHz INPUT: 438.450 MHz

The Repeater is on channel RU68.
Please remember that we are using a +7.6MHz shift rather than the old +1.6MHz GB3BS supports both CTCSS 118.8Hz (Tone J) and 1750Hz tone burst access.

The club meets every Tuesday 7.30pm at the Sea Cadets HQ TS Tiger Long Close Chippenham Wiltshire. Anyone interested in amateur radio is welcome to come along. There is a full calendar of events including contests, field days, a direction finding fox hunt, talks, demos and presentations. Training for the Foundation Licence is also available. The club is well equipped with a 60 foot tower with beams for HF and VHF and Yeasu and Icom transceivers.
